Strengthening Youth Innovation Through Strategic Partnerships at Ruwa Innovation Hub
Today, we were honored to host the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe ambassador, Ms. Katrin Hagemann, UNICEF Zimbabwe and Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training at the Ruwa Innovation Hub Zimbabwe, a strong affirmation of the role of strategic partnerships in advancing youth empowerment, innovation and sustainable development.
Through a Public–Private–Youth Partnership (PPYP), the Hub continues to unlock opportunities for young people by building critical digital, entrepreneurial and life skills, particularly in areas such as web development, mobile application development cybersecurity and innovation.
The visit provided an important platform to engage on scaling impact, deepening collaboration and strengthening ecosystems that support youth-led solutions. It also reaffirmed a shared commitment to positioning young people at the center of inclusive economic growth and sustainable futures as Zimbabwe advances the implementation of the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Strategy (2026–2030), both of which place strong emphasis on youth-driven innovation, digital transformation and inclusive economic transformation.
