Mr. John Bere

Board Chairperson

Mr. John Bere is a seasoned investment banker and business executive with over 25 years of professional experience in the financial services sector, including more than 10 years in senior management and directorship positions. He currently serves as the Board Chairperson of BOOST, where he provides strategic leadership, governance oversight, and institutional guidance to the organisation. His areas of expertise include Treasury Management, Risk Management, Process Improvement, Financial Analysis, and Business Strategy. Over the years, he has served on various boards across multiple industries, contributing significantly to governance, financial stewardship, and organisational growth. Through this role, he has represented Africa on the Council of Chairpersons Board Committee, which advises the Enactus Worldwide Board, an international network affiliated with the BOOST Fellowship. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees of Barwick School as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Finance Committee. Professionally, he is a founding Director and co-owner of Stratus Capital Partners, where he serves as Chief Operating Officer. Beyond his corporate leadership, he is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and mentor supporting emerging business executives and young entrepreneurs across Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Vice Board Chairperson

Ms. Nqobile Ndlovu is an accomplished legal and corporate governance expert who serves as a Board Member of BOOST. She currently leads the Banking, Finance and Investments Practice Group at Titan Law, specialising in banking, insurance, capital markets, financial technology, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and anti-money laundering. Her distinguished legal career includes serving as Legal Counsel to the Speaker of Parliament, Group Legal Counsel and Board Secretary in print media, as well as General Counsel and Bank Secretary for international banking, insurance, and securities exchange institutions. Between 2014 and 2019, she contributed to legal reform in Zimbabwe’s financial services sector through the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe under the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Agenda. Ms. Ndlovu is also a respected author and co-author of A Guide to the Companies and Other Business Entities Act with Commentary, Checklist for General Counsel and Annexes, the only comprehensive publication on Zimbabwe’s 2020 Companies Act. She is the Founding Chairman of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Governance Officers and serves on several boards, including Transparency International Zimbabwe, CEO Africa Roundtable, and Quant Africa Wealth Management.

Mr. Manfred Chaniwa is an experienced business and banking professional with extensive expertise in operations management, strategic planning, negotiation, customer service, and business development. He has a demonstrated history of leadership within the banking industry and contributes valuable operational and strategic insight to BOOST’s governance and institutional strengthening initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Business Administration from the Institute of Marketing Management. Passionate about innovation, leadership, and youth empowerment, Mr. Chaniwa supports BOOST’s mission of promoting entrepreneurship, skills development, and inclusive economic growth.

Mr. Paul Nyamadzawo is an entrepreneur, business strategist, and innovation advocate with expertise in project development, strategic pitching, networking, and business growth. He specialises in translating complex ideas into practical, results-oriented initiatives that drive business and societal impact. Through Pitch One2One, he provides consultancy services in pitch deck formulation and delivery, supporting entrepreneurs and businesses in effectively communicating their value propositions. He also leads The Sparkle Group, a company delivering professional cleaning, maintenance, and facility management solutions. With a strong background in project management and research, Mr. Nyamadzawo is passionate about building partnerships and innovation ecosystems that create opportunities for young people and emerging enterprises.

Mr. Prechard Mhako is a business development and renewable energy professional with expertise in multinational business development and strategic renewable energy projects. He contributes valuable experience in cross-sector collaboration, partnership development, and sustainable enterprise growth. His work focuses on promoting innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to economic transformation, climate resilience, and long-term development. Passionate about entrepreneurship and sustainability, Mr. Mhako supports BOOST’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation ecosystems, and inclusive economic growth.

Ms. Ropafadzo Mbongeni Bhebe

Ms. Ropafadzo Mbongeni Bhebe

Ms. Ropafadzo Mbongeni Bhebe is a senior legal, compliance and risk professional with over a decade of experience operating at the intersection of law, finance and technology. With a foundation in banking compliance and a career that has evolved into digital payments and fintech, she brings both regulatory depth and commercial pragmatism to technology-enabled financial services. Her work focuses on helping organisations navigate complex regulatory environments while building products, systems and operating models that are innovative, trusted and scalable. She is particularly interested in responsible technology, financial inclusion and the role of sound governance in strengthening institutions and enabling sustainable growth across emerging markets.

Ms. Brenda Tatenda Kufandirori is a Chartered Accountant with more than eight years of post-qualification experience in finance, strategy execution, management accounting, financial reporting, project management, and external audit. She has worked across diverse industries including financial services, telecommunications, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, real estate, construction, and mining. Her international professional exposure spans Zimbabwe, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), the United States of America, South Africa, Belgium (Brussels), Botswana, and Zambia. Through her strong financial and analytical expertise, she contributes significantly to BOOST’s financial governance, strategic oversight, and institutional sustainability.

The Board safeguards the organization's mission, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and strengthens long-term sustainability through sound governance and risk management.
